RCS week 8 video in 2 parts….

Wow. We had an extremely busy week last week. The students performed an egg drop, wore pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Day, listened as the wonderful community readers spoke about President Lincoln, had a Halloween Dance, and still found the time to continue learning and work hard. I have to give lots of credit to the teachers they really are working so hard this year and raising the bar to truly be the best school in the state. We still have lots of work to do as we head into November and I know everyone looks forward to every minute. ….enjoy

RCS turns Pink for the moms!

A few weeks ago I was approached by a few students that wanted to have an RCS turns Pink day. Today was that day. Many students wore pink and donated a dollar that will be used to show we care later in the month. I think it speaks a lot about our students and the teachers at the school about how much they care. Thanks for showing your heart today!

5-4-3-2-1 the orbiters have landed!

It was one small step for ….an egg? Yesterday was the egg drop challenge run by RCS teacher Mr. Snell. It was very exciting to watch each egg drop container drop, float, and crash it’s way down from the heights of our school. On hand to watch were Mrs. Drouin, Mrs. Lajoie, Mrs. Divoll, the entire kindergarten and a representative from our nations Capitol. The students were so excited as each egg capsule took flight. After further review all, but 3 made the landing successfully. Others were all scrambled….chirp chirp chirp…anyway great job once again grade 6! You are the leaders of our school.
